11 Essential Things They Don't Want You To Know (Part 2)
Continuing from Part 1 of my blog, “11 Essential Things They Don't Want You To Know (Part 1), let's recap the first 5 essential things.
1. Follow the mentor
2. Know where you are and where you want to go
3. Do research
4. Create your website
5. Provide value
Following are the rest of the top essential things which you should know if you want to launch your online business successfully.
6. Build your email list
‘How to start building a list?’. You may start by getting traffic that is organic (free) or paid.
You could then send this traffic to an opt-in page of your offer, to your landing page or website. You may have a sign-up for subscribing to membership on social media groups e.g. your FB group(s).
7. Give away freebies of value
Who doesn’t like free stuff online? I like free stuff which is valuable.
The last time I got a freebie from a store was tasting cheese cubes at a cheese kiosk at the Friday market. After experiencing how delicious the cheese was, I bought a bigger piece (cost me 8 dollars) of that cumin farm cheese from the vendor.
This had me thinking that for 2 small pieces of free samples, the vendor got me spending 8 dollars in his stall. Smart move! This strategy is what we should use in our online business.
Give away a freebie which is something of value to your customers. Do not expect anything in return. If your customer finds it exciting, valuable and interesting, and they want more, they will go back to you to purchase what you offer.
8. Whatever you sell, it must be of value to you too
If you introduce an offer, it is essential that you have tried it, used it, or read every review about it to sell it to your customers. The importance of this is that you know the value it can provide to your customers.
Top customer service
Always reply to their questions whether in emails, messengers, comments or whichever medium. Some marketers sent a ‘no-reply’ email address which you might have received before. This is bad customer service.
Hence, always make sure that your customers can reach you, and that there is open communication between you and the clients by using an email address that is actively receiving emails.
10. Create your own product
It sounds tough and impossible to do but it is possible. When you have acquired much knowledge in your online marketing business, you will reach the stage where creating your own product is feasible.
This will be the exciting stage which at this point might be far-reaching but just keep in mind that having your own product would potentially launch your business to new heights.
11. Collaborate with other marketers
In the online business sphere, there are many like-minded marketers like yourself thriving in the centre of competitions.
Find them, follow them, learn from them, comment to their posts, give value to their fans, be helpful by contributing your knowledge on their sites and groups, stay humble and authentic, and as you engage with them in these conversations, your communication will eventually lead to a business relationship whereby collaborations in business may start.
